I've extolled the virtues of my boys the Edmonton Oilers before, but despite what some people may think, I DO pay attention to other teams in the league. Okay, one other team: the Canucks.

Seeing Bertuzzi suckerpunch that Colorado dude from behind and then slam him into the ice was just, well, horrifying. Really. I couldn't believe he snapped like that. He broke one of the guy's vertebrae, his jaw, cut up his face, and gave him a concussion (which I'm sure was not aided any by the eight 200 pound guys that piled on top of them, I'm sure). I feel horrible for the Colorado player, and I really do think that Bertuzzi should be punished.

That said... I want to cuddle Bertuzzi into bitty pieces after seeing him cry at his press conference today. Seriously. This 245 pound, 6'3 hulking bear of a man CRIED because he's so broken up over what he did. And it broke my heart. I'm such a fuckin' sap.

Really though, if anyone has anything bad to say to me about my new #1 Crush 4-EVA!!!11!, they're going to have to face my tiny fists of fury.
